I bought model SFW123TTC at a local Office Max on 12/29/2020. When I got home, I attempted to set it up per the instructions but couldn't get the door open to set up the safe according to the instructions. I attempted to call the customer support number but after ONE HOUR ON HOLD I gave up. I started to experiment to get the door open and eventually figured it out but NO ONE SHOULD BE FORCED TO HAVE TO FIGURE THIS OUT FOR THEMSELVES.
I connected a 9-volt battery and typed in the "Key No." THIS SHOULD BE STEP ONE IN THE INSTRUCTIONS. PLEASE FIX YOUR INSTRUCTIONS! Second, you need to hire more customer care representatives. Had I know this was going to be a problem I would have bought a safe from a different manufacturer.

My Sentry safe's handle became so loose, that it no longer worked. I thought for sure I would have to get at least a replacement door, or a whole new safe. Not so. I called customer service. Ann answered within seconds of being transferred to the right area and she new exactly what the problem was. She listed 3-4 steps to follow to fix the handle. I followed them and the handle tightened and began working again. Cannot ask for anything more.

This is one company you don't want to have to call so far after 1 1/2 hours on hold waiting to talk to someone. With another phone trying to call have gotten a busy signal 42 times in a row. Yeah i know why the why is i need to order a pass key. There web site only lets you do so much. No matter what you have to call customer service. My advice buy another safe but not a SENTRY SAFE There customer support really blows.
It says all operaters are busy that may be true maybe they should hire more then one part time operator. So far this time I've been on hold 30min this time yes add it to the hour and a half now 2hours. DON'T BUY SENTRY SAFE. WOW read the other reviews there seems to be a theam here BUYER BEWARE all right the phone's ringing I got through to customer service and they tell me I waited on hold for nothing because they can't do anything online or over the phone I have to mail in this notarized piece of paper that I have before they'll talk to me nowhere on their website does it say this nowhere at no time did anybody ever explain that to me when I called before now I have the notarized paper in my hand and there's nothing I can do with it accept mail it in she couldn't even tell me if I could email it to them the phone goes dead and it wasn't on my end do yourself a favor and at all costs do not do not buy a Sentry Safe God forbid you ever need their customer service there is none maybe I was a little Hasty with this review but after I did get a hold of somebody they went all out to take care of what I needed I guess you just have to be a little bit more patient than I am phone operator named Jennifer was very nice and helpful phone operator name Mary was very helpful and customer service Nicole and Mary both very helpful I want to thank all four of you very much

Ok since I left a message for Mr. Brush Ingot an email a few days later asking for a motorized form and then they will give me the combination. I can't reply to the email and it tells me I can call the 800 number (the one no one answers) if I have any questions. Will fax the form and keep you posted as to how long it takes to get reply.

I had an older model SentrySafe and the left side hinge for the lid broke. My safe was long out of warranty so called Sentry Group to see if there was a part they could send me to repair the safe. I talked to Kim and after some research she called me back to informed me that while my old safe was not in warranty they were going to send me a newer model replacement safe at no charge including shipping. Needless to say its always impressive when a company stands behind there products, but its extremely impressive when a company stands behind their products even after the original warranty has expired. Thank you Sentry Group for your impressive integrity. Thank you Kim for your professionalism. Your company sets a very high bar for exceptionalism.

I called Lisa very frustrated with a safe I purchased from Costco in Tampa FL. I was a mess because the batteries would die or corrode and make the safe touch-pad unable to work (every month), We also had to work the pad many times even with new batteries in the case. Lisa handled me and calmed me down, replaced the safe with a combo style and I LOVE IT!
Thank you Lisa. Great customer service and response to a loyal customer with issues. Very professional. I am a PI, and will talk up SentrySafe to all of my clients and friends! Great company who actually backs their products unconditionally as it seems. And made in the US In Rochester NY.

Their safe RUINED many of my items, I am now told it's not good for money, papers, photos, and most of all guns. WHY else would you need a safe? They tell me -Dampness inside of SentrySafes is common due to the high moisture content in our insulation- Well their dampness RUNIED my items including guns that were in cases and sealed with foam. I am horified and shocked.
They said its in the owners manuel that you should not store guns in here but if you use a magnifying glass MAYBE you can tell from their fine print - DO NOT BUY THEIR SAFES!
