Sadly cannot recommend these guys. They came highly recommended on our local FB group but my experience with them has been poor. Initially I contacted them via their website. After over a week with no response, I visited their store where they explained that had been busy and hadn't seen my website submission, but booked me in there and then to do a site visit a week later.
A week later they came over and spent a good half hour or more surveying the property and coming up with lots of suggestions of what could be done. At the end they said they would come back to me in a week's time with a quote. A week came and went, then two weeks. Nearly three weeks later I contacted them via email asking them when I could expect the quote.
Again no response. It's been several months now and still nothing. Just a waste of everyone's time really and I don't understand it. Anyway, because of this, I can only give them a negative review

If you need new equipment, a new system, the boss of Urban will help you. If you need the faults from the system they installed, fixed, forget it. It will always tell you it is someone's else fault, the equipment which is now not up to date anymore. A monitor screen kept turning itself on and off which is clearly not right and his reply was it either works or does not. work, it cannot turn itself on and off automatically, all this despite the facts.
It went on for two months now working ok! A remote viewing not working (once again) sent someone who was leaving the company the next week. It worked for a few hours and that was it, still invoiced and threatened if not paying the invoice. Very sad!

What an enjoyable experience dealing with Urban Security Systems. Nothing is too much trouble for Sonia Bachelor Office Manager and Mel Winter Accounts Manager. We wanted CCTV and a modern burglar alarm system. The guy came round, showed us what he could offer us, had a very detailed look around our house, told us he was going to quote in the next day or so as he knew we wanted it reasonably quickly. and we never heard from him again. Despite me calling on the phone, emails, speaking to staff members, filling out the web form, etc etc, they just didn't want to know and never got back to us.
Our order was going to be for 4 cameras and 6 sensors, so probably a few grand, not exactly a tiny job. I guess they don't want to do residential houses? Who knows. Such a total waste of time for everyone concerned, and worst of all, it left us with a horrible disconcerting feeling that a so-called security expert had been inside our house of a couple of hours and went away knowing exactly what our house was like.
We even called the police it was that bad. Update: You fail to answer over 10 attempts in contacting you over a six week period, but respond to a Google Review, the first you've had in five months, within a couple of days. Yes, the police did confirm that Urban Security are a legitimate company, because you totally failed in proving it yourselves.
How am I meant to know about their website? I'm telling the story here of what happened to me and my experience of dealing with your company - what do you expect me to do on a review site! Your refusal to communicate was ringing alarm bells, two different websites (who does that!?), no one answering the phone - we had every right to be concerned. At least you have responded through here, so thank you for your quick response and explanation.

Absolutely awful experience with this company sad to say the owner was the worse person to deal with, my elderly family member had some work done by this company from start to finish was nothing but stress. We didn't even feel we could approach them to deal with the problems afterwards as they have been so rude, we have had the problem rectified elsewhere to limit stress and more money wasted.
