Founded in 1963 within the lovely town of Penryn Cornwall as a fire alarm manufacturing company, Exco were one of the first companies in the UK to manufacture equipment for this industry and are a family run local business. We are one of the last remaining companies in Britain, within the fire alarm sector, with the capability to repair equipment at component level.

When our self testing emergency light was in full production 20p was donated to endangered species for every unit sold. Our ethics run deep when it comes to issues about environmental impact.

Maintaining any fire or security system is an important part of its performance and is necessary to meet the requirements of insurers. Our engineers are trained in house and on relevant courses to meet these standards.

Exco Fire & Safety is fully registered with the SSAIB and meet all insurance requirements. From grade 1 to grade 3, wired or wireless, audible or communicated we can provide a system to meet the requirements of insurers and provide key holders if required.

Nurse Call

Exco manufacture and still support their own range of nurse call systems found in many care homes throughout Cornwall. Systems can be interfaced to pagers to alert your staff to a call wherever they are in the building.

Gas Detection

Exco manufacture, install and maintain their own range of flammable Gas detection systems. Besides our own equipment we can maintain and repair any other manufacturers systems using specialised calibration equipment. Gas detectors require regular testing and maintenance to keep them in proper working order and check the level of calibration against a known level of methane in the form of calibration gas.
