Monks Security Systems was founded in 1986 by Peter Monks and is one of the leading privately owned Fire and Security installation and maintenance companies operating out of Leeds. Since that date the company has grown from strength to strength obtaining NSI recognition in 1990 (formerly NSCIA and NACOSS) for Intruder alarms and BAFE SP203 for fire alarm installations.

Detailed below are a selection of individual and multi discipline projects that we have selected to show the skills of our Design, Management and Installation teams. At Monks Security Systems we have undertaken new works ranging from circa 300-500k+, no project is too small and we are yet to find any projects that are too big!

As an NSI Gold member Monks Security Systems ensures all our engineers are stringently security cleared. Each engineer completes DBS checks enabling Monks Security Systems to work with a wide range of clients in the education sector or any other site where requested. Our Engineers also adhere and operate to the following British Standards: - BS 5839-1:2017 - for Fire Alarm Systems - BS 5266-1:2016 - for Emergency Lighting Systems - BS EN 50131/ BS8243 PD6662 2010 - for Intruder Alarm Systems - BS EN50133 for - Access Control Systems - BS 7958:2015 for - CCTV Systems ## Inspection Cover Monks Security Systems as Standard offer Inspection cover on all of the disciplines below: - Fire Alarm Systems which can also include fire extinguishers and emergency lighting systems - Lockdown Alarms - Disabled Refuge Systems and toilets - Intruder Alarms - CCTV Systems both On-site recording and Off-site detector/analytic operated systems - Access Control - Automated Gates and Barriers Inspection cover for Fire Alarm Systems will ensure that 100 % of all automatic fire devices will be serviced in a 12 month period over 1,2 or 4 visits in accordance with BS 5839-1:2017.
