Bramah Locks
Report
In 1784, Joseph Bramah designed a round lock mechanism operated by a tubular key, of such complexity and security, that he put it in his shop window and offered a reward of 200 guineas to anyone who could open it. In 1851, at the Great Exhibition in London, A.C Hobbs an American locksmith spent 52 hours spread over 16 days and claimed the prize, but the method and spirit under which it was claimed is commented on by the London Times under the heading of 'the Great Lock Controversy'.222 years after its manufacture, the challenge padlock is displayed at the Science Museum in London.

Called to let them know I'm coming in to get a bunch of keys cut, walked in and said hello, got some grunts back from the miserable lot behind the desk and was left standing there waiting for about 5 minutes, walked out after no one showed any interest in acknowledging my existence - let alone serving me. Wont be back or be recommended.

Delighted with the service I have received from Bramah UK. Rang to request a service of my alarm and was offered that afternoon or the next day. Engineer arrived promptly. Very helpful and professional. Suggested an upgrade to my existing alarm but not at all pushy and fitted this there and then. Very impressed with the whole experience and would definitely recommend this company. Thanks Again

I have always enjoyed exceptional service and attention from Bramah, who have helped me out on more than one occasion when I urgently needed assistance. I have no hesitation in recommending their services and love the heritage of the original and unique Bramah key. Always a personal and reliable service.

Dreadful customer service; served by a new cashier I presume, since she could not use the card machine and put my card in the wrong way up. She also appeared to take personal offence when I wanted to leave my receipt when collecting my keys; gesticulating and throwing her arms around informing me it was a "CUSTOMER COPY!"

The people answering the phone don't have a clue what youre asking about, I got passed around before being cut off! Eventually I found out that they don't sell equipment at all, only supply and fit and I wouldn't recommend paying their Labour Rates. Waste of time - there are far better companies in London than this
