Emergency Locksmith
Our 24/7 emergency locksmith service resolves lockouts within 30 minutes across Edinburgh. Using non-destructive techniques, we gain entry without damaging doors or locks. When replacements are needed, we install BS3621-compliant locks directly from our fully stocked vans. Customers receive immediate written guarantees covering parts and workmanship.
UPVC Door Repairs
Specialist UPVC door repairs address misalignment, broken gearboxes, and euro cylinder issues. We realign locking points and install anti-snap cylinders meeting TS007 standards. All repairs use manufacturer-approved components with 12-20 year warranties. Our technicians complete 90% of jobs during initial visits using onboard parts inventory.
Lock Replacements
We supply and fit insurance-approved locks including BS3621-rated models for enhanced home security. Our replacements cover wooden and UPVC doors, garages, and outbuildings. Each installation includes functional testing and written confirmation of compliance with insurance requirements. All new locks carry minimum 12-month performance guarantees.
Key Cutting
On-site key cutting services produce duplicates for standard and high-security locks. Our mobile vans carry equipment to copy keys while customers wait. We also provide emergency key replacement when originals are lost or stolen. All duplicated keys maintain original security features and cylinder integrity.
Master Key Systems
Custom master key systems allow multiple locks to operate from single keys while maintaining individual access control. Ideal for commercial properties and multi-occupancy buildings, our systems use high-security components with restricted keyway profiles. Installations include comprehensive documentation for future key additions or replacements.

Richard came by and fixed our front door the same day I called. Really knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. Identified the problem quickly and even charged less than he'd originally quoted. Would definitely use again. Thanks!

Excellent service. Richard came out very quickly and sorted the problem with my door. It needed a new part which he had in stock and fitted very quickly and efficiently for a very reasonable price. I would certainly call him again when I need a locksmith, and recommend him to anyone needing a locksmith.

I called Hero locksmith after locking myself out the house and my dog inside! Richard was at my door in 20 minutes. He did what he said he would and for the price he quoted. No damage to my door or lock. You wouldn't know he'd been. He also cut me 2 sets of keys at a very reasonable price. Totally recommend Hero locksmith. Great job. Thanks for saving the day!

I called Richard to come and fit a sturdier lock as there had been some burglaries in the area. I initially planned to replace front and back door locks but Richard advised me that my back door lock was more than sufficient and didn't need replaced - I'm sure others may not have been as honest and simply replaced the lock and charged me for it. He did replace the front door lock very efficiently and at a competitive price. Will definitely use again and have already recommended Hero Locksmith to neighbours.

Called Hero Locksmith after a key broke in my door lock. He arrived less than an hour later, fixed the problem very quickly, and was very reasonably priced. (He was also upfront about any costs when I called, so no hidden charges!). Great service, friendly, professional, and I would highly recommend.

We recently had our lock replaced by Richard. Apart from being a very nice guy and not shy of answering all our security questions, he did a great job at a very reasonable price. I particularly like that he didn't try to sell anything, but gave his honest opinion on what's necessary and what's not necessary in terms of security. Would highly recommend Hero Locksmith to anyone!

Richard was great! I got locked out of my flat and so I phoned around a good few locksmiths. Richard had the best price and he was also the friendliest on the phone too. He also arrived right on time to what he stated and he was able to get me into my flat in no time. Honestly could not ask for a better service! Definitely recommend for all those unfortunate to get themselves locked out.

Great service from a local business, would certainly recommend. My front (UPVC) door lock had broken in that the key simply spun around (but the door was closed and locked). This was not the easiest job to solve, the old lock had to be drilled out. Everything done, and new lock installed in just over an hour of arriving. Richard also realigned the door, so that it would lock easier in the future. Cost seemed quite reasonable given the parts fitted and time taken. Richard himself was very friendly, and showed / explained everything to me.

Took Hero Locksmiths 10 seconds to open my door, something a budget locksmith wanted to charge me 35 for before fixing my lock.
Richard was honest and charged a very reasonable price for the job! Look no further!

Friendly, prompt service. Richard came within 20 min of my call and managed to get me into my neighbour's flat (I was feeding the cat - not breaking in!) He had to drill out the old deadlock and replace this - which was slightly pricey (I guess the whole point of a deadlock is that it can't be picked), but then he didn't charge me for the call-out or for opening the other lock - which was very kind of him. Highly recommended!

Very pleased with the successful replacement of a faulty door mechanism carried out by Richard. He managed to source the required parts to then repair our old purpose-built timber patio door.
