Selecting the right method of fire fighting equipment gives your company the best chance to contain a fire before it develops into a major incident, saving both lives and property.

One critical part of an organisation's facilities management is to ensure the correct maintenance of any automatic fire detection and alarm system fitted in the building. The British Standard ( BS5839 part 1 ) covering all aspects of the design, installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems has recently been revised and includes changes that may affect how you approach your maintenance planning. This person will ensure the system is regularly tested, inspected and serviced and all events are recorded in the logbook.

From 1st October 2006 there have been revised standards. It has now become the responsibility of the "Responsible Person" to ensure the Building Emergency and Escape lighting will pass the regulations. This check was previously carried out by the Local Fire Officer. A1 Solutions Security & Fire have the experience of the Emergency Lighting Regulations BS 5266: part 1: 1999, now updated to 2005 and we would be happy to carry out a survey and report on your buildings compliance with the Emergency Lighting requirements.

Feel safer in your own home or secure the boundaries of your business, security lighting is one of the best deterrents in the security industry. As well as intruder alarms, security lighting plays a large part in the deterring of crime and criminals. We can supply all major brand lights ranging from halogen right through to low wattage extremely bright gas filled bulbs ( that are completely safe ), that only need to be changed once a year ( some customers haven't need to change them for 2 years ).

The Redcare Classic solution sits on a dedicated phone line, signals are then polled frequently to ensure there are no faults with the communication path. Flexibility allows for GPRS - mobile technology to work alongside a standard telephone line as back-up. If one of the lines is tampered with the other continues to monitor and raise any alerts. Redcare Secure utilises GPRS as primary and landline (PSTN) as secondary path for alarm transmission, Redcare Secure also provides for an IP signalling solution.

Whatever the size and complexity of the fire detection system, either networked or a standalone system. For small, large, single or multiple sites, A1 Solutions Security & Fire have all the knowledge and experience. When a fire alarm installation is required, the customer or organisation is often faced with an array of decisions. A1 Solutions Security & Fire can solve all of these questions and many others, as well as liaising with the local community fire officer and insurers as necessary. Fire poses a huge threat to any business.

If you install a poor system then the answer is probably "very little". You should have a very clear idea of what you want your system to do and how it should perform. This should be based on your own premises, its layout, and the specific problems you want to address. The mere visible presence of a CCTV camera is unlikely to assist your fight against crime in your business. It is the action that can be taken as a result of your system that is all important, whether that be at the time of an incident or afterwards.
